Welcome to Love on Wednesdays. I hope you will jump on in and participate for the month of February. This month, every Wednesday link in and show your pictures of the joy, love, hearts or anything in your life representative of love. Anything goes...well, almost anything.....if you visited last week, we had some wonderful post about love....so join us this week!
Use the Mr. Linky to link in after you have your post up, and please link back to my blog. I will have the link and post up on Tuesday nights, so our friends in different parts of the world can participate if they like.
Love comes in all forms and means different things to different people. This week, I want to share one of my most favorite and loved past times. I love going to estate sales. I love looking at treasures that belonged to others. Over the past two weekends, I have loved every minute of my treasure hunting. And I do not ever buy anything at estate sales that I do not just absolutely love and intend to treasure just as much or if not more than the previous owner. To me, that is important....I know...I'm weird.
I have mentioned before I love old buttons. I found some wonderful old buttons stored in a sewing kit last weekend. Inside the sewing kit was a old little jar filled with these adorable vintage white buttons....I was super excited at this discovery.
See how romantic these look? Valentines appropriate don't you think? I think these little gems are romantic in every way. They represent a little glimpse of the past and bridge to the future for future collectors of old things.
*sigh* Romantic ?.....I think so.
Nobody has ever measured, even poets, how much a heart can hold.

Along with my very romantic white buttons of every shape and texture I also discovered some wonderful red and pink old vintage buttons....I just had to include for you to see! I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my favorite treasure finds and looking at some of the new items I love. Have a great Valentine's weekend everyone.....see you next Wednesday for more Love on Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteI will definitely be back tomorrow to link up...looking forward to it!
That is a nice collection of buttons. I love the white ones you shaped in a heart. All the different shapes and sizes and shades of white and clear. They made a lovely showing!!
ReplyDeleteI like the LOVE tin----that is really cute---the buttons are nice as well.
ReplyDeleteI love to shove my hands into bins of buttons. I love the feel of them and the surprise of picking out some sight unseen, to bring to the surface and closely examine. They all tell a story but most of us never hear their tale.
ReplyDeletelove going through my Mom's sewing chest and looking at her old buttons.
ReplyDeleteYou already know I love buttons! Very pretty. May I see a closer pic of the blue/red napkin or table cloth? Pretty Please!
ReplyDeleteLove your old buttons. I like buttons, too. Today was my first time doing "Love on Wednesdays." Thank you for hosting this. Very FUN!

Anyone who can take a jar of old white buttons and EVEN THINK about creating a cute little heart with the square buttons at the tip, is a creative romantic. That's you--a creative romantic!
ReplyDeleteI just clicked onto your blog this morning. I also love buttons - can't seem to ever part with one. Great blog - I'll visit again.

ReplyDeleteSince this is actually Valentine week, tell someone you love them. It will make you feel better. Also, while counting the buttons, count your blessings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea! I might have to join this week. :)
