Decisions.......

.....each one no matter how large or small leaves a footprint on our lives. Sometimes it's like a small indention in the sand...other times it is like a sinking hole in the mud.

Some folks learn rather quickly that swift decision making will land them in the mud again...so they tread on light ground. Others seem to spend their whole lives stuck digging mud out from the soles of their shoes due to bad decision making.....stuck, never moving forward.

Today, I am trying to figure out where I land in this landscape of life....some days it sure feels like a muddy mess.....other days.....a beautiful sandy beach.

  1. I don't know about you but I'm pretty much right smack dab in the middle of a mud puddle most of the time. I'm not complaining, though. When life is mud, make mudpies!

  5. I love this illustration. Our steps do decide our final destination after we've spent our lives walking it out.

  6. Just put one foot in front of the other, and you'll walk through the mud.

  7. Even if I make a bad decision one day, I just learn from it and keep strolling on. It's all one can do.

  10. Suzanne,

Some days ARE like wading mud, aren't they---just walking so hard, and getting so short a distance. The Bathroom Project last week had me feeling like that, but as soon as we finish the painting, it will be done.

Just keep steppin' high, and the high ground will be easy.

  13. Some times no decision would be my decision but I can't stand still, I have to move so... a decisionHAS to be made! These are the kind I like least!

  14. Suzanne, Thank you for stopping by and leaving such sweet words of encouragement.
I love your blog...I'm a dog fanatic too. Yesterday, I was out in my garage and a little pup that looked like your Bailey came walking right under the partially raised garage door! I LOVED her, but had to call the owner who I thought would probably be frantic looking for her. She wasn't. She was in the bed still at 10am and said she would come to get her later....
Next time I see her out, I'm keeping her!
I hope you have a wonderful day, mud-free~

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
