Blog Anniversary Giveaway: One Year Ago Today - Zero Comments!

Today marks a rather unique milestone. One year ago today, I started this blog after a inspiration from Rachael, at Head Cook and Bottle Washer blog. Once I started looking at hers and started looking around, I knew I wanted a blog for myself. I never realized when I started that first post,and after 242 post later, what a journey it would become over the past year.

I had in mind a certain direction I would go when I started blogging, and to be honest, I ended up in a different direction all together.

I had no idea that afternoon on July 12, 2008 what a wonderful new experience blogging would be, or how many wonderful friends I would meet along the way. I had no idea of the many great ideas for crafts, decorating or tablescapes I would soon discover. Heck, I did not even know what a tablescape was or a cloche for that matter. Nothing like learning a few things along the way.

I could have never dreamed the many wonderful new recipes I would be trying out in my kitchen. I can most certainly tell you I never dreamed I would be wanting to learn to quilt.....thanks to all of my blogging friends who quilt.

You have all inspired me, entertained me, encouraged me, and I can always count on you dear friends showing up each and every week. If someone would have told me that day last July that within just a few months, I'd be hosting a day called Vintage Thingies Thursday each and every week, with lots of people reading these vintage post, I could not have even imagined that to be possible. To be honest, I did not even know it existed.

So in honor of this great milestone in blog land, I am hosting a giveaway. I have enjoyed each and every giveaway thus far, it is fun to pass things on to others and make their day. There is nothing like spreading a little love and kindness in a world that is so lacking...it is good for the heart and soul.

So here is the scoop on the loot:
The following two mosaics are two different prize packages I will be giving away. I will draw two names. The first one will win the first package, the second name will win the second package. Easy and simple.

Inspired by my love of all things vintage, I have put together this gift package including some of my personal favorites from my stash of vintage goodies. One lucky winner will receive, this wonderful vintage apron, two vintage dish towels, two vintage pot holders, and one vintage table runner, all from my personal collection. Next, is this brand new, adorable button candle and handle stand. The white platter is a recent find, and you all know how I love my platters, I hope you will love this one too. The pitcher is really sweet, with brown roses and vines. Perfect for the center of the table or on a night stand. I have a cute little pink rose cup and saucer, with two flower magnets that I made out of vintage fabrics. Also included is a package of note cards, and a little china sign, very cute. Last but not least you will receive a years subscription to Country Life Magazine. I hope you will enjoy this vintage package, I had lots of fun putting it together.

The second gift package is inspired by all the birds I see in blog land these days. This gift includes a great vintage platter and vintage embroidered blue bird dresser cloths, from my personal collection. A cute new, button candle and stand a wonderful large pitcher with bird motif, this is really beautiful. Also, you will receive a little iron candle holder with a bird on a twig. Two little flower magnets fashioned out of vintage fabrics are included. The winner will receive a years subscription to Country Magazine to enjoy in the months to come.
