The Truth......

The truth is sometimes hard to accept or change. Sometimes.

I have fallen off the blogging wagon, and it has not been easy to get my ducks in a row and get with it again! I have folders of pictures just waiting to be uploaded and their stories told. I have taken tons of photos for recipes I want to share....but there they all sit in folders safely tucked away...just waiting.

The truth is...I don't know why I am in this slump. I have been busy, but that is a sorry excuse....even to me!

I'd like to say, that I am most thankful for the ones who visit anyway, some leave comments, some don't....but I know you show up. Thanks for the emails.....I hope to shake this funk I have been in and get back to myself. Thank you all for your concern and kind words.....I love you guys more than my vintage dishes....and well you know me, that means I love ya a lot!

Thanks for staying with me......

  1. It's okay to take a rest now and then. Think of a piece of music - if there were no rests, no silences, the music wouldn't be as effective. There's day and night, seasons of growth, and seasons of dormancy. It's just natural. Rest well.

  2. Oh Suzanne, I think SUMMER does something to us as well. Hang in there and post what you want, WHEN you want. You'll still show up on the reading list!:)
And I for one ALWAYS like to see what you've put together!
(Oh, and I love the weather gadgets on your sidebar. I agree 100%!)

  3. I think a little lack of satisfaction with our blogs is a good thing...change is good. I know for one that I need to think outside of the box with my posts...especially in the summer when the days seem to run into one another and they all seem the same. I wish you the best of luck, I know you will find your voice!

    XO,
    Jane

  4. Suzanne, I get inspiration and entertainment from your blog. That doesn't mean you are responsible for keeping me happy every day or even every week. You are worth the wait. Enjoy your vacation. CJoy

  7. Suzanne I agree we all go through slumps. Different reasons or no reason we can figure out, just life! I am finally coming out of mine and feel more energized about my blog then I have in several months. Just take care of yourself! hugs, Linda

  9. Suzanne, don't be too hard on yourself. Take a break if you need to. I took two months off blogging at the beginning of the year to take care of my family. I came back when I was ready. You should do what YOU want/need to do.

  10. It's summer, things have slowed down in one area and picked up in others. Your readers will be here when you have something you really feel passionate about blogging about!

  13. I'm one of the lurkers who doesnt comment very often - but Im always here .

I think we all need a break from the crazy world of blogging occasionally - even if it is only to spend time making sure our ducks ARE nicely ordered, to collect new ideas and to re-energise.

Take your time , be kind to yourself and pop back in when you're good and ready!

  15. Hi Suzanne,
I know exactly what you mean. I've been on a slump too-some weeks my only post has been the weekly book review. I'm hoping to do better and I'm sure you'll get back into it too.

  18. I just finished a loooooooong slump. I think we all need a break just to think about why we're blogging in the first place. There are a lot of great reasons - maybe you need to focus on a different one.

  24. Spring and Summer and pre-holiday times are terribly difficult, time wise. It's hard to catch up much less stay caught up; I don't even try anymore. Be gentle with yourself!

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
