Blue Monday: Nature, Cake Balls, And a Hint...

This has been a great weekend! Why? Well, simply because this Blue Monday is a holiday, and I have an extra day off. Consequently, not a day off from all the things I need to do today, like take my dogs to the vet, grocery shop, laundry that I need to finish, errands I need to run, but hey, I do not have to go to work today. *Yeah* for three day weekends. Hope you enjoy my contribution for Blue Monday, Hosted by Smiling Sally. Please visit Sally and take a peek at other Blue Monday post and start your week off right.

This picture I think qualifies for Blue Monday, as it has a beautiful shade of blue in the water. I took this photo last week in my own backyard. This is a fall leaf, floating in the very bird bath I talked about here earlier this summer.

Oh, and let me give you a sneak peek of a post coming later in the week. This is one of my favorite vintage platters with cute little blue flowers. I love this platter. I paid a whole $1.00 for this at an estate sale, but I cherish it like I paid more. I like the vintage look and the pattern of the flowers.

Now, what's being served on my favorite platter you ask? These my dear friends are cake balls. My daughter and I made these Sunday afternoon, and let me tell you this. You will want to check back later this week and see how these are made. They are Delish!!

And last, this is what I call a hint. I told you about the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival coming this month, right? I think I mentioned I would be having a giveaway for this event, remember? I think I mentioned it would be handmade by me, do you recall? Well, the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival starts in two weeks, and here is the hint. And the hint is sitting on a blue chair, vintage I might add, and perfect for Blue Monday.

Hope you enjoyed this installment of Blue Monday. Don't forget to have a look at all the other Blue Monday Post on Sally's Blog. Be sure to leave a comment and say hello to all the Blue Monday Participants. ~Have a great week!

  2. The water in your bird bath is a thing of beauty with your camera. I remember plates like that, and I have a recipe for cookies that look similar to your cake balls. The yarn and chair blue too? What more could you ask? Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday!
