Don't Forget to Turn Back Your Clocks: Wisdom According To Maxine

I don't know about you, but I would prefer the time to stay the same all the time, and day lights savings time would be nice for me. But that is just me.

I think Maxine has the right idea about this one! Oh, to be able to just turn the dial and be able to dial back to when you were 20 or heck, how about even 30!

And this is how I feel all winter long!!!! Maxine hit it right on the head for me!!!

Today we set out clocks back one hour, so we can come home in the dark....man, I hate the sound of that!!! And while you are at the task of setting your clocks back, be sure to check the batteries in your smoke alarms, and replace if need be.

  1. I agree with you about the winter short days. I find them hard when you get up in the dark, come home in the dark and have to feed animals IN THE DARK. Thank God for spring and summer and autumn!!

  2. I've always preferred longer days myself, but I thank you for the reminder! I definitely would have forgotten, I'm sure!.. As for Maxine, ya gotta love her! I have a TON of her cartoons saved in a folder, for whenever I need a smile... OR an attitude adjustment! (0; Have a great day, and a wonderful weekend! ~tina

  3. It's one of the times when we just can't win. Sunrise has been after 7 this week - makes it hard to get up.

  4. I think Maxine is right. Did you know that she came from the imagination of a man? He must have lived in a house full of women.

  5. I chuckled so much at these comics that I borrowed them for my blog! Of course I gave you credit for finding them. Why do they think we buy the story that making it dark earlier in the evening and the morning makes us save energy. I don't get it. Another THEM vs. Us I guess.

  6. Thanks for the reminder but I hate having to change all of the clocks in the house!

  7. Well, the consolation is that it's going to be dark for a certain number of hours no matter what our clocks say, right? We know the long sunny(and unbearably hot!)days will be coming all too soon again.
I am just glad that the time change means it won't be dark when my hubby leaves in the mornings for a few more weeks--and I do like waking up to sunshine!
Hope your adjustment to it isn't too bad. My poor mom suffers terribly with BOTH time changes every year. I prefer the fall to the spring one!

  8. I wish we would leave the clocks alone. I feel like I just put my head down, hustle along, and try to get through dark November. The cold is bad enough and then, add to it the dark. Ah well, complaining doesn't change a thing and a laugh is a much better solution, thanks for the reminder. Maxine often hits it right on the head. Written by a man, huh? You're right, he must have lived with a mess of women, because he writes good copy for her. I also realize, as I get older, that the time flies by pretty fast and before we know it, lovely spring will be here...remind me of that in February and March, as we get hit with snowstorms...LOL

  9. I don't know why we still do this. It seems as if everyone (including me) thinks just as you do!

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
