I am almost finished with a project I am working on, this is on my design table!! I should be able to finish this today and can not wait to see how this turns out. Lots of strips were paper pieced and joined for this project. Makes me happy looking at all the fun fabric scraps.

OMG! It is kinda of humorous...I think. I would use it around Halloween but would not buy it. I don't know? The cross design is nice..and my grnadaughters would use it, goth you know. Thanks for the giveaway, drinking Starbucks Via as I write this, so you know I love Starbucks!

Thanks for introducing this fabric. I think it's a riot. I use machine embroidery and have some off beat designs that are similar to this theme. Urban Threads is having a sale this week on craft designs with a theme that would go well with this Michael Miller fabric. Take a look and be amused or horrified depending on your sense of humor.

It does not appeal to me but I can see how some would find it humorous! I do think the cross fabric has a very lovely pattern. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think it is very fun and would love to have it. I took the survey, but it encountered a problem and said "there was a problem recording your vote"
ReplyDeleteSo stinking funny! This is like sewers and crafters gone goth!
ReplyDeleteI like things that are different so I marked I would have to have it on your survey. I probably would not buy a lot of it but use it for smaller craft items. Free coffee sounds good to me .
ReplyDeleteI took the survey. The fabric is kind of quirkey. But I would have to buy some.
ReplyDeleteThe cross fabrics appeal to me a little bit. But honestly, anything with skulls or skeletons is a total turn-off for me. So I'd probably end up passing on the whole line.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, this fabric is wonderful!!! I have got to get some of this.
ReplyDeleteHaving just learned to knit, I can appreciate the humor.
I love the Gothic aspect of the fabric too.
Thanks for the "heads up" on the source and the link too.
I had no problem with the survey.
Fun survey! I didn't find my answer on it though. I really wouldn't use any of the fabric except the handwriting one. Loved that! I do like the macabe, loved the Munsters and Adam's Family, but I think the fabric would scare little kids, and that's mainly who get my quilts. I have some fabric of little monsters, but I haven't used it yet... the afore mentioned reason. It'll have to be a Halloween quilt to use it, I guess. Thanks for the survey opportunity. Lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely over-the-top LOVE this fabric. It reminds me a lot of Edward Gorey's wonderful cartoons. Don't know what I'd use it for, since I don't quilt -- maybe a tablecloth for Halloween? I don't know, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, no. I really don't care for the skulls and crossbones in any medium! But I do enjoy coffee, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou need to make a doctor's appointment. You have caught "Fabric Fever or Virus".
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric! Visit my blog to read about the miniature dachshund that adopted my husband and me!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy something quirky and different from time to time. I voted that I'd have to have it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
Very cute! I'd have to have it for sure.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne! I took your survey!.. And as for comfort zones, I feel I know a little about that right now! Instead of crocheting, I'm scrapbooking lately! I have much to learn, and supplies I still need yet... but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I never in all these years thought I would, but I TRIED it, and I DO!... Can't wait to see what you do with these fabrics, and hope you're enjoying your weekend!! ~tina
ReplyDeleteI voted I would need to buy it! It would be fun to make some cute items for my knitting, sewing friends!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who thinks ice cream ONLY needs to be hot fudge sundae - I would have kept going down the fabric isle to the over priced batik and then settled for small prints and tone on tone from the calico wall (at least... that was the way it went Saturday :)
ReplyDeleteI voted that I would have to have it.The skeleton and the dogs with the yarn is just too cute- it would make a cute knitting bag. And I collect crosses -these would make great pillows. Thanks for hosting a give away.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutly buy this fabric...but I've also been told I have an odd sense of humour and I could see some teenage quilts coming to "life" real soon.
ReplyDeleteI know I would look it over closely and laugh a lot but I would probably pass on it. I am not buying fabrics on speculation anymore. I would opine that this fabric is for the Day of the Dead but the knitting theme doesn't quite fit with that holiday. Don't put me in the Starbucks drawing as I don't drink coffee. Thanks for sharing the fabs though. I particularly like the skulls with the scissors.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne...I'd be one of the people passing on it. Not enough color for my taste not to mention skulls aren't really my thing. I can appreciate the humor in the pieces but I can't imagine what I'd make with the fabric. Thanks for letting me put my 2 cents in.

Yes, its quite quirky! I know a couple of people it will appeal too. When I thought about what I'd MAKE out of it---mug rugs and bags to hold your knitting. (aging bones need that extra warmth) Funky pillows! One of those things that roll up and have little narrow pockets for all your knitting needles. Yup, I can see the projects starting.......
ReplyDeleteI might have walked by that fabric without really ENJOYing the motif's. How witty and fun. I am knitting again after many years hiatus and as a quilter can see myself with a lap quilt of that material to use while knitting-and lots else.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I shop I look for the "funky fabric of the day." Certainly fabrics in this line would qualify!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do with your strip blocks. I've been joining strip scraps as I get them and have no idea what I'll do with them yet. Hope to get a good idea from you.
ReplyDeleteMy son in law would love the line, also his wife, my daughter, and their 4 kids. I think it's cute!
ReplyDeleteI voted!!!
God Bless~

I voted! Those fabrics are very fun. Thanks for sharing. Now I will be on the lookout for them.
ReplyDeleteFun Fabrics and Survey!
ReplyDeleteI like the little skulls with the scissor crossbones, very clever. Skulls are neat graphics, not just for Halloween.
