Vintage Thingie Thursday: Vintage Christmas Bulb Wreath

Welcome everyone to Vintage Thingies Thursday

If you have a love for vintage things, well....you have come to the right place. We have a really good time each and every week!!!
If you are new to this party, please take the time to
read and follow the instructions for participating in Vintage Thingies Thursday, click HERE. I try and keep things fairly simple, so please make sure you follow the instructions. Please only ONE link per week. Lastly, if you link in, LINK back to my blog, so everyone can see all of the vintage goodies on display that day. If you don't link back here, they won't know who to visit......thanks so much.

I have tons of things to blog about....but no time to get the pictures edited and on a blog post....and it is time for Vintage Thingie Thursday again .....and well, I had to scramble for something this week.

This is a wreath I want to try and make hopefully this year. I found the image on  pinterest, but could not follow the link to the original post. Am I the only one that has that problem with pinterest?

I am on the look out for more of these types of vintage bulbs. I remember my mom and grandma had worlds of these and how I wish I had them now....I have found a few when out and about looking at thrift stores and estate sales, but not nearly enough to make one of these beautiful wreaths.....but after all, the real fun is in the hunt..right??

Have a Happy Vintage Thingie Thursday!!

  9. Good morning Suzanne, It has been an age since I joined your Blog party. I just didn't have much of anything vintage that you haven't seen before. Today I posted something I have shared before but not on your Blog. It is good to be here again.

The wreath is beautiful and a clever idea. I had a string of those old lights and I must see if I still have it in the attic. I would be happy to give them to you. I promise to look when we get back home from Florida. I always loved the 'hunt' and still do. I just don't buy much anymore. I know when you aquire the needed bulbs your wreath will be awesome.

  11. You will have to make a trip to Iowa and Wisconsin. We have many of those bulbs still. Being as "thrifty" (cheap) as we are, they will be around for generations.

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
