Vintage Thingie Thursday: Vintage Planters

Welcome everyone to Vintage Thingies Thursday. If you have a love for vintage things, well....you have come to the right place. We have a "dog-gone" good time each and every week!!!
If you are new to this party, please take the time to
read and follow the instructions for participating in Vintage Thingies Thursday, click HERE. I try and keep things fairly simple, so please make sure you follow the instructions. Please only ONE link per week. Lastly, if you link in, LINK back to my blog, so everyone can see all of the vintage goodies being showed that day. If you don't link back here, they won't know who to visit......thanks so much.

This week, I want to show you a few of the vintage planters I have picked up lately because I had to have them, or because they were too cute to leave behind. Don't you just love it when that happens??

This one is a McCoy. I paid $1.00 for it at Goodwill. It does have a hairline crack down the back of the planter, but it no way takes away from the pretty front. I love the pink and green on this one.

This little bird planter is a recent find at a charity sale. It is marked Japan on the bottom and I think it was a great find for 50 cents.

Anything with puppies on it always catches my eye. This was so sweet, I just had to bring it home.

And talk about sweet, this one is a real charmer. I don't plant any plants in these, I just like to keep them on a shelf and look at them. Some of the ones I have may be worth more than others, but for the  most part, I love them all and enjoy them all the same.

Bailey decided she'd get in on the act too.....she has a look on her face like, "What about me" I had to tell her she was a baby and far from being vintage.....but was loved just the same if not more!!! She seemed to accept that answer and was wagging her tail once again!

Have a great Vintage Thingie Thursday and a wonderful weekend ahead. I'll see you all next week with more vintage treasures!

  15. Tell Bailey that even when she's an old dog, she'll still be your baby! I have a 16yr old dog who isn't doing well, but its so hard to think of him as an old man. He isn't vintage to me!

  17. Your love of the dogies is obvious from your stores of the real ones. Now you are sharing time with dog planters. I really like the McCoy one even if it is cracked. My storage shed is still for rent.

  24. Hi Suzanne, Finally a moment to sit down on my computer.
we had errands in town and Cheri' went to the groomer. A wonderful young woman who grooms her in her home. What a find and Cheri' loves her so much. The down side is she is 20 miles away. However, where we live the grocery is 14 miles away. We don't care because in the mountains is like paradise. At least our idea of paradise. If you ever come this far you know we have a cabin. You would be so welcome.

I love your planters of dogs and birds. Who can resist them. You are a good thrifty /vintage shopper. Great prices for your planters. I adore Baily. He is such a cutie. I understand puppy love so well. Smile.

Hope your day is a happy one.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  29. Oh these little planters are soooo cute.

I haven't been joining in lately-I think after 2 years, the stuff left to show just isn't very interesting. :)
