Welcome everyone to Vintage Thingies Thursday
If you have a love for vintage things, well....you have come to the right place. We have a really good time each and every week!!!
If you are new to this party, please take the time to read and follow the instructions for participating in Vintage Thingies Thursday, click HERE. I try and keep things fairly simple, so please make sure you follow the instructions. Please only ONE link per week. Lastly, if you link in, LINK back to my blog, so everyone can see all of the vintage goodies on display that day. If you don't link back here, they won't know who to visit......thanks so much. Lastly, try to make an effort to visit the other participants. I know myself, I get so behind and busy, but this year, I am going to do my best to visit each week.
I have really been struggling to get my pictures uploaded and ready to post, but I have just not done it! I had these saved on my computer and will share them for this week. I have lots of new goodies to share, but time is not on my side these last couple of weeks.
My husband was cleaning out the shed last weekend and wanted to throw away some old colanders. I about had a fit...and he said they were junk and not good for anything....I beg his pardon!! They are most certainly not junk and as soon as I get a chance, I'd love to make one of these!
Is this just adorable or what?!
Then of course, here are a few other ideas for unique light fixtures out of vintage finds. I love this idea, and if you look at the middle ones in the photo, those are colanders just like the ones he wanted to toss!
Happy Vintage Thingie Thursday! Have a great week!

Hi Suzanne, My recent post is perfect for your party, vintage tablecloths, cake carrier, and even some risqué playing cards. Don't you love how the men in our lives think they should decide what is junk and should be thrown out...when it is our treasures??? Love that colander idea. Happy VTT!
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you rescued the vintage colanders. Hope you do get some lights up using them. Sure liked the idea picture your shared. Thanks for hosting Suzanne.

If you have the know how, it is amazing how you can to turn vintage goodies into today's treasures.
ReplyDeleteThe colander lamps are really cute or I should call them a chandelier
ReplyDelete. I just hate it when husbands thinks they can throw away our treasures just because they don't like them .
Oh my goodness, I love that colander chandelier idea. Thanks for posting--and for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHope you get your light soon. Adorable idea!
