Blue Monday: Making a Difference

Sponsor a Child.
Change the life of a child.....forever!

This installment of Blue Monday features a great program. Compassion International. Compassion International is a Christian child advocacy ministry. They assist over one million children in twenty four countries to reach their fullest potential by supporting them physically, emotionally and spiritually. Check out their website and see what a difference you can make in the lives of children.

There were blogs last week that featured a trip to Dominican Republic and the stories were unbelievable. The pictures they posted about this trip brought me to tears more than once. There is a great need for so many in the world. I am going to make a difference in one life, that is the least I can do. It is a small price to pay and the best $32.00 per month I have ever decided to spend.

I clicked on their website and was hooked. Not only by the good works this organization is doing, but by a sweet little smile that tugged at my heart strings.

She is eight years old. She lives in the Dominican Republic. She loves art and playing with dolls. She is our sponsored child.

You will be able to follow our story about this sweet little girl as it develops. I am sure the blessings will be too good not to share.

In keeping with the rules of Blue Monday, the website logo is a bright royal blue. And our sponsored child has on a pretty blue belt with pretty blue ponytail holders.

Please visit Sally at Smiling Sally's Blog. Start the week off right and kick the Monday Blue's by viewing all the lovely blue items her visitors share.

  1. three weeks after my husband and I started dating we undertook our first thing as a 'couple' we decided to sponsor a little boy named Kenz from the Philippines. He is PRECIOUS! I actually just wrote to his mom last night! (he is still too young to write, but he sends us drawings!!)

by far the best $ we spend each month, you will not regret it!

Oh, also, I had the opportunity while I was living in the Dominican Rep. to meet some compassion children in their homes, and this program really truly does make a huge difference for these kids, as well at their parents! And yes, they really do hang up your pictures!

  15. She's a lucky little girl to have you caring for her now. Reminds me of the movie "Schmidt" with Jack Nicholson. Did you see it?

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
