I have to say, when they were finished and called me back to see Alisha, she was babbling like a baby....and I could hardly understand her. She claimed "this was just great, and when could she come back and do it again!" She told the nurse she looked like Sandra Bullock....and thank goodness, she did. I was beginning to worry. I am used to screaming and tears, not hysterical rambling from this child. It was funny, and not so funny at the same time. Thank goodness the babbling has stopped and things are quiet again. Hopefully, the recovery will be an easy one.
Please keep my daughter, Alisha in your thoughts this morning. She has to have her wisdom teeth out and we will be at the Oral Surgeon's office this morning having this done.
Do you see this crying tooth? Well, I am sure I will be seeing lots of tears today. * sigh * Alisha is not the best patient and has high anxiety about the dentist...and any doctor for that matter. .....I don't blame her....Like mother, like daughter.
Keep me in your thoughts too, that I make it through the day intact!
My poor baby....I would like to remind you if you have not entered my giveaway this week, please click HERE to do so. This ends on Saturday and the winner will be randomly drawn and announced.
*** I just discovered this was my 100th post...Yea!!maybe that is a good sign for how the events of the day will unfold.... *wink*
Suzanne: Praying that all goes smoothly for you & Alisha today. The older I get, the less I like doctors and dentists too!
ReplyDeleteI will pray too---I know just how she feels---I almost get sick when I have to go---by the time I go so much has to be done that I really am a nervous wreck---not fun !!
ReplyDeleteI forgot --- cute tooth---did you or Alisha do this ?? Will be a cute vintage thingie some day---so tell her to save it and make a note about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is one sad looking toothie! Probably a lot like how poor Alisha feels today. In a few days she'll be back to her old self and soon this will all be forgotten. But that's easy for us to say as we're not the ones going through it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post!
MGM
First of all... you have a very beautiful blogsite...love your decoration and I feel that christmas is very soon.
ReplyDeleteI understand Alisha. I'll be pray.
Congratulations on your 100 post!
Keep up your beautiful, art work!
Keep ice on her cheek longer than the dentist tells you. If it doesn't swell, it doesn't hurt!
ReplyDeleteHang in there today. It is tough having your teeth worked on, I understand the fear issue, I hate dental work with an unreasonable fear. You will be a great mom and Alisha is lucky to have a great mom like you......
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 100 post! Hope all goes well today.
ReplyDeleteOUCH!! I need mine out so bad! It has been impacted for 10 years and it is getting worse and worse. I will be thinking of her today but also wishing it was me in her place ;)
ReplyDeleteYou betcha...I'll be thinking of you & daughter today...usually, when I dread something it generally turns out better than I imagined...wishing this for y'all today! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteGood vibes from here too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Alisha! I'm sure all will be fine!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for an easy extraction and a quick recovery! And congrats on that 100th post. Whoot whoot!! ;)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck Alisha. I am one of the massive dental phobics out there also. Somehow with a really good and patient dentist, I am conquoring my fear.
ReplyDeleteJen
Good vibes being sent to you and Alisha today. Congratulations on your 100th post and may we enjoy many more.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Tammy
good thoughts and positive vibes headed to Alisha and her mom today.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
I think my favorite part of today was when I told my mother that I felt drunk and wanted to do it all over again 5 minutes after i woke up.. thanks mom!!!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne,
ReplyDeleteI'm quite sure that I commented on your beautiful blog several weeks back but anyhoo, wanted to say hello again. I sometimes miss Colorado, but certainly love Florida more. Reading your blog does make me home sick (a little) LOL.
Take care my friend......
My son had his out a couple of years ago-the swelling can be huge (one side was ok, the other...wow).
ReplyDeleteHope her swelling is minimal.
Congrats on your 100th post.
I am glad all went well. However, when I first opened your blog and just saw the picture, it blew my mind. Was not sure what in the world that was.
ReplyDeleteOh wisdom teeth! I had all 4 removed about 7 years ago....they had to break my jaw to get at one of them...and they were awful! I wish her luck...most people say that it is not that bad...but I can't say that I agree!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteI hope that all went well. I have had a lot of work done and I'm still a little nervous when I have to go for a checkup.
Ha, thanks for the update, I was just stopping by to ask!!!!
ReplyDeleteFirst congrats on the 100th post and good luck with all going on. Second I love your header and name--they're what drew me in from the start! My husband and I recently moved to Germany (and I started blogging!). We pine for those Rocky Mountains oh so much!
ReplyDeleteKatie
I'm so glad she's doing good - my sister is the same way - I feel sooo sorry for her when she has to go. Hopefully, the weekend will be just as good for her! Good luck and GOD bless!
ReplyDeleteI had mine out 20 years ago and they put me out. I woke up and it was done. I looked like a chipmunk but, it wasn't as bad as they said.
ReplyDeleteWith all the new technology today I'm sure she will sail through it all.
Good vibes from Canada also.
