Blue Monday: Vintage Platters and Salt & Pepper Shakers

Hello! Can you believe it is the first Blue Monday in November? Time is flying! Please visit Smiling Sally, she host Blue Monday every week. Click HERE and check out all the participants this week.

This week, I am showing off some of my vintage floral platters and a pair of pretty blue salt and pepper shakers. I have a fondness for vintage floral items. And these are just a few of my treasures.

This is a set of salt and pepper shakers I purchased at an estate sale. I Love the blue flowers, they have such a charming appeal.

This platter has a floral band around the edge. Small delicate flowers in pinks and blues add to the charm. This is marked Syracuse China on the back.

Here is a closeup of the flowers.

I especially like this one. It has an array of flowers, but it contains blue Morning Glories. I have Morning Glories in my yard, and I enjoy the blueness of the flowers. This is marked Edward Knowles.

See the delicate Morning Glories?

This is a cute platter, I love the flowers, they remind me of a retro floral design for some reason. This platter does not have a marking on the back.

Such cute bright blue flowers for serving meals on.

This platter is a Edward Knowles. The floral design pattern shows a little wear... but hey, that just means this has been well loved. I loved the pinks and blues in this design.

I hope you enjoyed my contribution to Blue Monday. Have a great week everyone. I will leave you with these words.....
~Take the time to smell the flowers.

The more wear and tear the better the food tastes in those lovely dishes. We should all enjoy them as our grandparents did.
