Not your ordinary eggs in the egg plate

I like to push myself to the limits sometimes. I have heard all my life you can not make divinity in the humid weather or a rainy day. Well, I decided to push the envelope this morning.......not your normal eggs to say the least.

Served and presented in a vintage carnival glass egg plate. Simply Beautiful in my opinion.

Candy.....Divinity Candy as a matter of face, and...this just goes to show you, that it can be done....it is rainy, humid and yucky here today...this sure makes things look a bit brighter.

Happy Easter Everyone......I added this amazing video by Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill. Take a moment to remember the meaning of Easter....you will be inspired.

  2. Oh Suzanne, happy Easter! I ove divinity. My SIL Joyce can make the best divinity ever! But I never had the knack for it. Your looks simply divine! Yumm....
Your carnival glass egg plate is beautiful. I have several Princee House egg dishes but I am not sure if they are in the house. We will be unpacking boxes into the summer! LOL!
Carrie Underwood took my breath away singing this and Vince Gill can play! Oh goodness. I can still hear my dad singing this song at the dinner table. He had such a beautiful and strong voice. I wish I had a recording of him singing this! I am blessed though as I have a tape of him singing "Humpdy Dumpty " to my oldest daughter as a small child! Happy Easter! Love to you and yours today and always Anne

  4. Oh, I cannot remember the last time I had divinity! Yours looks delicious - way more tempting than deviled eggs.

  5. Happy Easter! But as a Brit - what on earth is divinity? I've never heard of it - am intrigued. Does it have eggs in? Is it like meringue?

  6. This to me was the highlight of that show. I thought it was absolutely breathtaking. No one plays the guitar like Vince Gill or sing like her. Just today, the kids came by and your divinity was discussed. Little did I know you making some. Trust your day went well.

  12. Oh, yum, it has been ages since I have made divinity, and what a good idea to put it in an egg plate. I never heard that thing about you can't make it when it's humid. But, good for you for living on the edge, haha! ;-)

  13. I had only heard that if you made divinity on a humid day, it wouldn't be shiny. Love your plate. BTW, do you have a recipe that makes just a few pieces of divinity? Mine makes hundreds. Lane

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
