Rise and Shine......

........or not!

The other morning, I was busy trying to get some housework done. I did not take too much time or effort, but I did spread up the comforter on the bed. I knew it might not be the best job, but it was straight and neat when I left the room. Not fifteen minutes later, this is what I saw......

What???? As I passed the bedroom door, I glanced inside my room, and decided I was either really losing it or someone was in trouble...take a close look!

Yes, I do have dogs that will unmake the bed, crawl inside, and cover themselves up, and take a early morning nap. Sophie's reply to the "Rise and Shine" was simply....I think not!

It is mornings like this that I'd like to follow suit....I am not even joking! I think my new motto will simply be......"if you can't beat them...join them!"

  1. Look at that Sweetpea!!! Many mornings I'd like to do that, as well. Our little fellow is too short to get up into our waterbed, thank goodness. We've had him only a few months, but he's getting just that spoiled to the little luxuries of life.

  6. Roslyn, LOL....yes, I know, and I plan to do that. This comforter was just one I threw on the bed, the regular (much nicer) one was being cleaned....I will say this, that this one is a down filled and really warm...thus the reason the dogs love it!!!

  14. How adorable! You're so lucky to have a doggie to snuggle up with!
I miss VTT so much Suzanne! I quit because I'm gone all day on Thursdays, and wouldn't be able to comment until later on Friday, and I felt guilty about that, so I decided to quit. It's been a hard habit to break! I think about it every Wednesday, very tempted to put together a post, and I will one of these days, because I miss it and you so much!
    Have a great weekend!

  19. Our Petey the Boston Terrier is notorious for sleeping under the covers! When folks stop by to visit they hear snoring but see anyone. I love how it freaks some people out!

  21. That is hilarious and is exactly what my dachshund, Nico, does every morning! And she always messes up the made up bed to do it, just like that!!!

  22. LOL....must be a dachshund trait. Oscar does the same thing. Stinkin' sweet dogs :)

  23. Isn't that the cutest thing? My former dachshund used to burrow and sleep like that.

You're right: it does take a good bit of my Mondays to keep up with the Blue Monday links.

  24. Hi Suzanne, this is just so cute. My poodle CC loves to get under the covers and sleep by our feet. I'm afraid she won't get enough air so I always pull her up by me. She is not happy when I do that. HA!. Oh what we do for our pups. They are our children in every sense of the word.

    Have a happy day.
    Hugs, Jeanne

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
