Blue Monday: Vintage Christmas Decorations

Happy first week of December. Where has this year gone to? I can not believe it is December 1st. Monday is the day we showcase all our blue items or items we find during the week that is blue. Sally from Smiling Sally's Blog host this event every week and it is a great way to start the week with.

Today, I would like to show you a really cute vintage Blue Christmas tree. This tree belongs to my Aunt LaVoice. I took this picture when I was at her house a couple of weeks ago. It is in fabulous shape, the colors are so vivid and I just love it! I know you will enjoy a peek at this vintage little tree.

Here is one of my vintage ornaments that hangs on my tree. The past several Christmases, I have had a black bear tree, with bears and a wildlife theme for all ornaments. This year, I put all my vintage glass ornaments on the tree instead. And I really am enjoying the look of my tree this year. (I miss my bears, but a change is good) I am sure I will be showing more of my vintage tree ornaments as the month goes on.

Go ahead and take a look at all the blue items on display today at Sally's. I love to look at all the blue items every Monday.

Reminder: Don't forget to put in your entry for this weeks giveaway. Click HERE to enter. Have a great week!

  6. Sorry "Smilingsal" but that little tree was never green. BLUE is the actual color and has been that way from the time it was bought.

  7. I can't tell from the photo if that tree is six inches or six feet, but either way it's a nice tree.

My mom had a couple of boxes of vintage glass like that that she was finally going to toss. I don't know how old they are, just that they're older than me. (I salvaged them from the scrap heap just 'cause I thought they might be worth something someday.)

  10. I want that tree! My own aunt used to have a pink Christmas tree, and we once had a white Christmas tree. But I've never had a blue one, and the one in your photo is so sweet!

  18. This tree is great! My mom has a similar bottle brush tree in regular old green.
Do you have a place in your house where you could put a smaller tree w/ your woodland friends?

  22. Your Christmas tree is beautiful! Christmas trees are not just for the indoors anymore but they are also for the outdoors as well. Before this, Christmas trees were found only inside people's homes.

  23. I love that blue tree. I sometimes so miss the vintage christmas decorations. If I had a bigger house I would consider having just a vintage room...it reminds me of being a young girl at my grandmas on christmas.

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
