Vintage Thingie Thursday: Forever Yours China Plate

Welcome everyone to Vintage Thingies Thursday. If you have a love for vintage things, well....you have come to the right place. We have a really good time each and every week!!!
If you are new to this party, please take the time to
read and follow the instructions for participating in Vintage Thingies Thursday, click HERE. I try and keep things fairly simple, so please make sure you follow the instructions. Please only ONE link per week. Lastly, if you link in, LINK back to my blog, so everyone can see all of the vintage goodies on display that day. If you don't link back here, they won't know who to visit......thanks so much.

I found this plate back a few weeks ago and thought is was the cutest thing ever!  I don't believe I have ever seen a plate like this one.

I did a search on Ebay for this right before Christmas and did not find a thing......

Well, wouldn't you know I did a search today and well...there are lots of pieces that match this plate....in fact, so much that I just clicked off ebay and refused to take another look. That is the very last thing I need is more dishes....but......

These sure are sweet!!! They are called "Forever Yours" by Brock of California.....and I just simply don't see how I can not have all the pieces......I. Just. Don't. I guess you could say it is a sickness....a true sickness.....and one I fear there is no cure! I am going to try and resist. Wish me luck!

Happy Vintage Thingie Thursday!!

  15. I know what your talking about not needing more wonderful dishes. But it's so hard to resist especially when they are so cute
I gave a set of 12 dishes away to a sister just to get rid of one set

I haven't ever seen those so I know I will be looking for them now LOL

  16. Sweet plate! At first I thought it might be a custom made art piece, but with the back not numbered or anything and "oven safe," it seemed like maybe part of a set, but I've never seen anything like it either. It sure is sweet and I wish you luck in resisting other pieces now that you found them! :)

  17. I have sooo many vintage things, it's hard to know where to start. They aren't things I bought...rather they are things from my grandparents, parents and me (I'm 59). And, then there are things from my DH side of the family...chinese things. =)

Let me see if I can get some pictures going and connect to your fun idea! =)

  24. Thursday...Vintage Thingy...
K, well, firstly I have to say that I could just post a pic of meeee ol' self, since I'm nigh close to vintage! =P

But, this idea of yours couldn't come at a better time in my life!! I've been wanting to "catalog" many of the items that I still have from my childhood. There are my own things...but, also there are things that I have from my parents and grandparents. If, I don't log them and tell about them, probably my kids and for sure...my grandkids won't know why I even kept them.

So, I am excited to set a day aside every week (hopefully i can do it every week) to write about my thoughts and memories of vintage things that are part of my life's story. =)

Thank you for setting this up!

  26. I suppose we could start a support group to prevent buying cute collectibles. But what would be the fun in that?

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it's like it fits into this empty space in your heart!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your thoughts here, they really mean a lot to me!
